My Life As a Shoe

My life isn’t as easy as you’d think. I’ve been stepped on, crushed, smeared against the ground, subjected to touching disgusting surfaces, and I’ve even had gum and dog poop stuck to me.

Do you think I asked for any of these things to be done to me? My owner has brought me to strange places. Places that I would never go to if I had the choice, but I don’t have a choice. I cannot think for myself or choose my own path. I have to follow the path of my owner, wherever that may bring me I have to follow. Do you think it’s easy not having a choice?
